Leah & Bashir – Traditional Wedding – Photography & Video – Fairport, NY

For Leah, having her wedding at the Deland house was incredibly special and personal. Leah grew up in Fairport and would pass by the historic house everyday when she walked to school. It is also where her parents had their wedding reception over 30 years ago. For Bashir he grew up just a little bit farther away in Pakistan, but they were able to include many Pakistani elements throughout their celebration and even had many of his friends and family watch through a livestream from the other side of the world.

Leah and Bashir wanted a classic décor with candles and floral arrangements to match the traditional and beautiful interior of the event space. They also included childhood photos of themselves and their families throughout the reception area. Leah and Bashir are very close with their families and having them all together was what they were most excited for. Leah even had her best friends mom perform the ceremony, and her aunt made the cake and desserts.

The newlyweds could not have planned a better day for their wedding. The sun was shining and the weather was in the 70’s, an extremely rare occurrence for an April day in Rochester. Seeing Bashir’s reaction to Leah during their first look was my favorite part of the day. I also loved seeing all of their friends and family get to celebrate them. It was a wonderful evening of dancing and smiles all around.
