Following the closing of their first choice wedding venue, Molly and Ian had to switch locations as well as their wedding date. For most couples this would have been a devastating blow, but for them it could not have turned out any better. They moved their wedding to the gorgeous Woodcliff Hotel and Spa in Rochester, NY and their late October wedding date could not have been any better. The weather was in the 70’s, they had peak foliage, and the sun was shining all day. It was a dream come true.
Molly and Ian were most looking forward to spending time with their friends and family who traveled from all over the country to celebrate with them. They wanted a venue that could do everything from having a welcome party, lodging, a ceremony, and a reception all in one place. Woodcliff absolutely delivered all of that, along with breathtaking views of the foliage and downtown Rochester from lookout point where Molly and Ian exchanged their vows to one another.
For their décor Molly and Ian wanted to keep it simple and timeless. They didn’t want to take anything away from the beautiful scenery around the venue so they went with black and white and a touch of gold for a classic look throughout their wedding. One of their favorite things from their wedding was all of the hard work by Nicole, from I Do Wedding Flowers. She crafted a specific look for Molly and Ian based their personalities and the vibe that they were were looking for. Everything was tied together and looked amazing.
Another one of Molly and Ian’s favorite moments of the day was taking pictures at sunset. They were laughing and joking the whole time and made everything so much fun. The sunset overlooking the incredible view did not disappoint. It was a beautiful moment seeing everything come together the way it did. Molly and Ian continued to dance all night with their friends and family. It was such a joy to see the happy couple being celebrated by everyone.
