Rochester Wedding Venue – The Wintergarden by Monroe’s

Located in the heart of downtown Rochester, the Wintergarden offers a stunning location for your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. The atrium is spectacular and can accommodate up to 450 guests. The glass walls and ceiling along with real trees make it feel like you are outdoors without having to battle the elements, which is ideal all year round. I love the shear size of the space and all of the natural light that is let in. At night, the Wintergarden feels even more magical as the trees glow inside and the city lights sparkle outside.

Brief History

The Wintergarden is part of the inspiring design of the Legacy Tower. The 20-floor building was constructed back in 1995 as the world headquarters for Bausch & Lomb, and now holds the position of a hallmark skyscraper in Washington Square Neighborhood of downtown Rochester.

The eye-care company left Legacy Tower in 2014 and the building was taken over by three local developers. That’s when the original all-glass atrium was converted into a high-end wedding venue now known as The Wintergarden by Monroe’s.

Pricing

As of writing this, the base ceremony fee for The Wintergarden is $750 all year round. With its different packages, rentals, and add-ons, the wedding venue still falls in the affordable category. The overall cost for a wedding with 100 guests usually comes out to be about $13,000-17,000.
